Welcome! My name is Frank Heaney and I am an enthusiastic designer who is eager to learn and to apply my skills. I have a Bachelor of Science in Product Design from the University of Minnesota and have applied my skills in a variety of professional fields including consumer goods, medical device, UX/UI, consulting and freelance.

 

What initially drew me to design is what has kept me ever since - a passion for creative problem solving. What excites me more than a fancy product solution or specific field is the initial question that sparked the need for the solution - throughout my time as a designer, I've been exploring these questions in as many capacities as possible, and absorbing as much as I can from those around me. Through this exploration I have found I thoroughly enjoy the process of taking everyday problems and addressing them with creative product solutions both tangible and digital - driven by a process rooted in human centered design and usability.

I have a tough time sitting still, and if I am not doing design work, I am likely exploring another creative outlet to keep myself busy. Recently, I've been trying to learn the ins and outs of music production, sailing, building 3D printers, and mountain biking.
